HARARE – Nampak Zimbabwe on Wednesday appointed Price-Waterhouse Coopers (PWC) as the new external auditor until the conclusion of the next annual general meeting after Deloitte & Touche (Zimbabwe) reached the legally set maximum duration of 10 years.
This was approved by shareholders at the company’s seventy-third annual general meeting. The AGM also adopted the financial statements for the year ended 30 September 2023 together with the report of the auditors.
“Deloitte has now completed a 10-year service as our external auditors and is now obliged to retire. I would like to thank them sincerely for their services during this time,” the company’s chairman Alan Howie said.
At the AGM, directors’ fees and auditors’ remuneration for the past audit were approved at $60.14 million and $1.27 billion in historical terms, respectively.
Howie said there has been no change to the previous “information” contained in the trading update.
