The word poverty looks ordinary in print with no peculiar sound when uttered. Experiencing it however leaves one with an indelible mark on any unfortunate victim, a mark difficult to erase. Indeed when poverty invades one’s territory and forcefully takes charge of affairs nothing good comes of that but misery with far reaching consequences.

Growing poverty worsened by supply global chain disruptions, imported inflation is the major issue on Zimbabweans’ minds as they fail to make ends meet.

The situation paints a bleak picture with hunger, unemployment, stress and deteriorating health services have become part of daily life for many people.

Against this background, all hope has not been lost any local companies and foundations such as the TEM Foundation have come up with different projects to create employment, feed communities while contributing to the country’s economic performance.

TEM Foundation founded and lead by renowned philanthropist, marketer and businesswoman, Tsuu Machingura started a honey project for women and youth in Chakari, Kadoma.

The ever-growing foundation also does farming of water melons, mushrooms, pepper employing close to 120 youth.

As if that is not enough, Tsuu, a respected business woman in Zimbabwe has been running workshops across the country to train the youth and women on business start-ups for free.

The bees project she started has been instrumental as the species is essential for the health of people in the community and surrounding areas.

Honey and other products have medicinal properties, and the role of bees as pollinators makes them vital for food supplies.

Not all these bees produce honey, but it is one of the main reasons people value them. The substance is a natural sweetener with many potential health qualities.

People have used bees and bee-related products for medicinal purposes for thousands of years.

In traditional medicine, people use honey when treating a wide variety of conditions. While many of these uses do not have scientific backing, they include, eye diseases, bronchial asthma, throat infections, tuberculosis, thirst, hiccups, fatigue, dizziness, hepatitis, constipation, ulcers and wounds
Beeswax is another important product that people have previously used in waterproofing and fuel. It currently has benefits for health and features in a number of skincare products.

The farming begun by TEM Foundation has been essential for any society to feed the population. It plays a vital role in the growth of the economy of any country and its development. Since agriculture is considered to be a provider of food, human existence depends directly on it.

TEM Foundation is investing in farming as Agriculture is essential for any society because it helps to feed people. Agriculture is known to be important for survival because it protects against famine.

Agriculture also maintains social order. When everyone is dependent on one another for food and other necessities of life, a sense of cooperation develops in people and this gives people a sense of responsibility because they realize the importance of agriculture and they know that without agriculture, they won’t be able to feed people and this social order will be destroyed.

Another benefit of farming, is that it help balance the ecosystem. It can help to regulate the ecosystem because it provides food and shelter for animals, regulates water resources, and restores degraded areas.

Farming is also providing employment, food for animals and provide greener environment-HARARE
