ZSE extends gains to four consecutive sessions

HARARE – The Zimbabwe Stock Exchange (ZSE) closed higher for the fourth consecutive session on gains in shares of select heavyweights.

The mainstream ZSE All Share Index gained 5.26% to close at 137,693.93 points, while market capitalisation increased by 6.57% to $10.9 trillion.

Market breadth closed positive, as 11 stocks were on the gainers list and 4 were on the losers list.

Gains in Delta and CBZ saw the Top 10 Index rising the most, up 8.21% to end at 67,156.25 points.

The Medium Cap Index lost 0.37% to close at 457,858.52 points while the Small Cap Index was flat at 2,320,368.91 points.

Market turnover appreciated by 638.07% to $3.33 billion. Transactions in the shares of Delta topped the activity chart, with 501,900 shares valued at $1.46 billion.
