Masimba, in its latest annual report, said it is “reducing energy consumption by integrating renewable energy.”
The company added that “Solar energy systems at project sites reduce reliance on grid electricity and diesel generators,” helping to “lower greenhouse gas emissions and operational costs.”
The figures show diesel remains Masimba’s primary energy source despite efforts to expand renewable energy use across its projects.
The decline in electricity consumption is consistent with the company’s strategy of deploying solar energy systems at project sites to reduce dependence on grid power.
Masimba described the initiative as “a key step toward sustainable, low-carbon energy solutions.”
