Delta makes return to SSA Top 30 earnings releases, US$ earnings report

The Zimbabwe Stock Exchange maintained its positive trend on Thursday, rising by 3.79%. 

Market capitalisation increased by $146.39 billion to $3.42 trillion, while the mainstream ZSE All Share inched up 1,484.89 points to close at 40,683.52 points.

The Bulls’ camp maintained dominance over the market breadth, with 13 counters in the gainers ‘chart pitted against 10 counters in the losers’ chart.

Proplastics gained 14.9% to become the best performing stock in the session.

From the rear of the chart, Zimpapers was the worst performer.

The Top 10 Index gained the most, up 4.32% to close at 23,479.34 points.

The Medium Cap Index jumped 2.45% to 88,493.21 points, while the Small Cap Index fell 3.72% to end at 739,049.02 points.

Market turnover rose 37.75% to $1.23 billion in 337 trades.

OK Zimbabwe led the volume chart with 2.06 million units, while Delta topped the value chart with deals worth $531.74 million.

Morgan & Co Made In Zim ETF gained 2.45% to $2.0642 while Datvest ETF added 2.52% to close at $1.7443.

Cass Saddle Agriculture ETF was off 0.48% to end at $2.0400.

Meanwhile, Delta re-enters the Top 30 in Sub-Saharan Africa (formerly South Africa) in the March ’23 African Financials earnings releases and US dollar earnings report. At number 24, it replaced Kenya Commercial Bank-HARARE
