HARARE – HIPPO Valley Estates Limited shareholders approved the re-election of directors and an extension of board chairman Canaan Dube’s tenure at the company’s annual general meeting held on Monday.
Voting results showed that 63 shareholders, representing 163.66 million shares, supported the resolutions, with 100% of votes cast in favour.
Godwin Sweto and Nyasha Jill Jacquline Mangiza were re-elected to the board, while Gavin Barry Daleis was elected as a director, according to the voting results.
Shareholders also approved an ordinary resolution allowing the company’s board charter to be amended to permit an extension of the chairman’s tenure beyond five years and beyond the age of 70.
No votes were recorded against the resolutions, and there were no abstentions.
The results reflect unanimous support among votes cast on the four resolutions shown in the meeting’s voting record.
The resolutions covered board appointments and governance arrangements, including provisions governing the chairman’s tenure.
